Biju Pattnaik College of Journalism ,Social Work & Yoga has been established, imbibing the cherished idea of Late Biju Babu ,the legendary figure of Orissa, a hope for the hopeless mass in the state .The envisaged objective of the college aims at establishing wider social transaction with poor people in the state .Having the said backdrop ,Biju Pattnaik Computer Academy was started during 1998 in order to facilitate justiee to the down trodden people in providing them a universal computer literacy at much low cost. Soon the programme got clicked ,ensuring larger benefit amongst the poor educated unemployed youth. With a view to bring balance and augment further social activity in Orissa, the college felt it necessary to open the Master Degree College of Journalism ,Social Work & Yoga . Running the Journalism course with MSW , that excels the social activity of the college & students through its in -built Journalism professionals course medium.This process helps in highlighting the college social work commitment before larger population in the state Further more, the course ofYoga in Master Degree level is inducted to stabilise and concentrate the MSW course driven different social welfare & development activities of the college.
