1916	Born on 5th March 1916.
1932	Create History by Cycle journey from Cuttack to Peshwar.
1936	Become a Pilot.
1938	Marriage Gyan Devi.
1941	His Father Passes away.
1944	Starts his business carrer & establishes Biju Pattanaik & Co.
1947	His first election as a Member of Legislative Assembley from Cuttack Constituency.
1951	Institutes "Kalinga Award" for Science & Devlopment at International Level through UNESCO.
1961	Becomes a president of Orissa Pradesh Congress.
	Sworn in as Chief Minister of Orissa on election from Choudwar Constituency of Orissa Legislative Assembley.
1962	Appointed as war advisor to the Prime Minister in India during Indo- China war.
	His proposal receives concurrence of Prime Minister of India for Construction of Paradeep Port.
	His Appointment as Deputy Chairman Planning Board, by Govt. of India.
1973	Indonesia Govt. conferred the highest award of the land "BHUMIPUTRA" to Biju Pattnaik.
1979	Served as Minister, Steel, Mines & Coal in Union Govt.
1990	Elected from BBSR constituency as Janata Dal candidates & sworn in as Chief Minister of Orissa.
1997	April 17th, the Great Biju Pattnaik succumbs to his illness.
